Dr. Ghazala Hayat

Dr. Ghazala Hayat received her MD from King Edward Medical College, Pakistan. She completed residency in Neurology and fellowship in Neuromuscular disorders & EMG fellowship at Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Hayat is Professor of Neurology, director of neuromuscular & clinical neurophysiology services and Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship. Dr. Hayat directs the multidisciplinary ALS clinic and has been selected as Best Doctors in America in 2007- 2015. She has served as President of Interfaith partnership, Islamic foundation of Greater St. Louis, board member of YWCA, Pakistani American Association Of Greater St. Louis. She is the chairperson of Public Relations committee of Islamic Foundation Of Greater St. Louis. She has received Norman A Stack community relations JCRC, and Women of Achievement award 2015. Dr. Hayat’s husband Sultan is a Cardiologist, daughter Noor Riaz a pediatrician at Children’s Hospital, Son Jibraun Riaz is an attorney in LA. She has 2 grandchildren.
International Space Station Flight Controller at NASA
Fiona Turett works at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX where she supports the International Space Station (ISS) program. Her responsibilities include supporting ISS operations in Mission Control as well as helping to train flight controllers and astronauts about how the Motion Control Systems of the ISS work. Some of her key accomplishments during her five years in this role include receiving her ADCO (Attitude Determination and Control Officer) certifications, updating the method for vehicle undockings to save propellant, working on console for various dynamic operations, and envisioning and implementing an improved mentoring system for individuals working towards their console certification. Outside of work, she serves as a Board of Directors member for Manna Project International, an international nonprofit she served with in Nicaragua in 2011-2012.

As Director of Local Content & Community, Laura leads the effort to make Google’s local experience more like a conversation with a really knowledgeable friend. To deliver on this promise, her team is running programs -- like Google Local Guides and Zagat's famous community of avid diners -- that attract rich factual and sentimental user data that can be professionally curated and served back to the wider world of local information seekers. Previously, Laura focused on making Google the premier destination for brand-building by leading product and sales commercialization efforts across Google’s brand offerings.
Prior to joining Google she held numerous strategic and management roles at Primedia and New York magazine. She received a BS from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Laura lives in Manhattan with her husband and two energetic children.

Angie is currently the senior VP of Software Engineering, BI, and Analytics at MasterCard. She is a WashU alum and graduated in 1993. She has been working at MasterCard for over fifteen years and has a good grasp of what it's like to work in the STEM industry. Angie is also a dedicated member of WashU's Engineering Advisory Council.
